Hoshizaki at NAFEM 2013

This year’s NAFEM show in Orlando, Florida has officially begun, with exciting news from Hoshizaki about the newest additions to their ever-expanding lines of high-quality commercial ice machines. This year, Hoshizaki is launching a new square cube ice machine, bringing their already versatile family of ice styles up to 5 different types of crystal clear, commercial grade ice.

Square cube ice (sometimes called “rocks” ice) is loved by beverage enthusiasts and mixologists alike for its large surface area and slow melting rate, making it the perfect choice for cocktails and other beverages that need to stay chilled for extended periods of time. The square cube shape is also perfect for spirits served on the rocks, as the large surface area gradually chills the liquid without excessive dilution.

The new IM-500SAA Ice Cuber from Hoshizaki is capable of producing up to 500 lbs. of ice per day—more than enough to meet the needs of most mid-sized bar or restaurant operations. For larger establishments, multiple IM-500SAA units can be stacked up to three units high for double or triple the production capacity in the same floor space, making this efficient and easy to use ice maker the perfect compliment to any beverage-oriented foodservice establishment.

If you are currently attending this year’s NAFEM show, be sure to swing by booth #2806 and take a look at the newest offerings from Hoshizaki America. The IM-500SAA will be just one of the many products on display from Hoshizaki, so don’t miss this opportunity to get an exclusive look at the newest technology from one of the world’s leading restaurant equipment manufacturers. Maybe J.E.S. will run into you there!
